TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION

Address: 4-2-1 Ropponmatsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka 810-0044, Japan;
Subway Station for the Venue: Ropponmatsu Station

The venue for CAP 2018 is the new Fukuoka City Science Museum. This state-of-the-art, futuristic building saw its completion in October 2017 and has Japanese Astronaut Koichi Wakata as its honorary director.

The exhibition hall is broadly divided into four zones (“Learning from Humanity”, “Learning from Life”, “Learning from Environment”, and “Learning from Earth and Space”) where visitors can experience science for themselves.

In addition, visitors can learn about the seasonal constellations and astronomy in the planetarium, “Dome Theater,” and enjoy the great outdoors and space through supersized images with a realistic sensation.

CAP 2018 is the first major international conference hosted at this new museum. With more than two decades of experience, the organizing committee will take care of all local preparations and support for the participants.

WiFi @ the Fukuoka City Science Museum

During CAP 2018 participants will have access to wireless WiFi accessible at any point from the venue. Unfortunately, a good connection is guaranteed only for a maximum of 50 users simultaneously. As we expect a larger number of participants at CAP 2018, we recommend buying data SIM cards.
