Social events

  • Monday 8. October: Special planetarium show exclusively for the participants before the reception after the end of Day 1.
  • Monday 8. October: Welcoming reception (light dinner and drinks) at the Eugenides Foundation (conference venue).
  • Tuesday 9. October: After the end of Day 2. Archaeological tour to Acropolis and surrounding area and visit to the old observatory (near Acropolis & the hotels). Shuttle busses will be available. Possibly we will also have a cocktail reception at the Observatory
    premises.
  • Tuesday 9. October: Conference dinner in a traditional Greek tavern not far from Acropolis.
  • Wednesday 10. October: After the end of Day 3. A star party at the old observatory with the support of the local amateur astronomers society (Hellenic Astronomical League) and dinner at a Greek cuisine tavern.
