History

The CAP2005 conference follows a tradition laid down by the:

• Communicating Astronomy to the Public conference held at the US National Academy of Sciences in early October, 2003, sponsored by the US National Research Council and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, with support from NSF and NASA
• The Communicating Astronomy conference that took place at IAC in Tenerife in 2002
• The ORIWORKS workshop held at STScI in Baltimore, USA in October 2003: http://www.stsci.edu/stsci/meetings/oriworks/
